I uploaded my "CANON IN F" mp3 file finally. It sounds like I desire. :)

I woke up this morning feeling fine. Sure, a little congestion from the sinus infection, but that's to be expected. I trundled into the bathroom, took a look in the mirror, needed to cough. and so I cough.

And I just about growled in pain as I felt something go pull-pop in my chest.

I broke a rib.

Well, technically it might not be broken, but the urgent care folks say we will treat it like one, since my symptoms are consonant with it, and on a man my size (bigger than the average bear), its difficult to confirm the absence of a break even with X-rays. The actual radiologist will look at the films on Monday. It took 5 times to get some clear-enough pictures, so I can now sleep in the soft glow of my aura. :)

So how do we treat a broken rib? We don't. You medicate for pain. And you watch out for complications. And in my case, to help prevent hard coughs I am now taking something to keep things loose.

So far tonight I've only had to cough three times in 5 hours. Each time has hurt worse than the previous. The last time was like excruciating, and my stomach muscles were in knots for the better part of 5 minutes trying not to move. And I thought a broken ankle was painful, that was nothing compared to this!

Thankfully, one or two vicodin every 4 to 6 hours is prescribed, and warranted, and in this case, being followed religiously. It'll be interestingly fun to work come monday. :) (Poor Ben will have me pairing with him.)

I'm still alive. And that seems to be my most popular posting style, too.

Since Christmas I've done Christmas, worked like a devil, went on a vacation cruise to the northern carribean, worked more, auditioned for and joined the Ambassador's of Harmony, and gotten sick.

After passing the audition I sat down next to this guy who was sick. And who shared his sickness with me. Sunday morning I wake up, have to skip all three church appointments, and finally today my sickness appears to have lessened. I can still feel the fever, and I'm still clogged up, still coughing, but the sinus infection is lifting (today is day three of antibiotics), and I actually got some work done.

Not much else is happening, though.
